About Learning

“Why are we learning this?“, “When are we ever going to use this?“

These are questions most students have asked (especially in math class) and every teacher has received. These questions should be viewed as evidence of a student’s desire and capability to learn. Relevant connections between any type of learning and real life integration should be the goal for all learning. Showing students the relevance of learning can help with both motivation and engagement, which are the two greatest obstacles to adolescent learning.

Relationships are also of great importance for learning and increase both motivation and engagement. I believe that in-person, small group learning is best.
